Purpose
Supporting circular fashion, and the local Habitat economy
Recognising the need for connection after lockdown, Creative Capital launched the Fashion Flea Market at Habitat, now a permanent fixture on the Byron calendar.
The idea was simple: turn the carpark into a marketplace where locals sell pre-loved clothes, creating both economic opportunity and social connection.
From day one, every stall sold out in minutes, building an enviable waitlist of sellers. Crowds travel from across Australia to browse racks and blankets laid out with curated vintage and second-hand fashion, alongside local food and music.
Held quarterly, the Fashion Flea Market continues to connect the community, celebrate reuse, and show that sustainable fashion can draw a crowd.
