North Byron Parklands was established after Brandon Saul identified the site and assembled the consortium that purchased the land, creating what would become Australia’s premier greenfield events venue.

Set across 660 picturesque acres between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, the site is the permanent home of Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival, two globally significant music events. and has hosted audiences of up to 50,000 while preserving its stunning environmental surrounds.

In recent years, Creative Capital Property Services has overseen site management and upgrades, from improving drainage and roads to securing DA approval for a new conference centre, ensuring the venue remains fit for the future.

Sustainable planning underpins NBP: minimal sealed and stone roads, multiple access points for high-traffic events, and composting toilet systems that reduce environmental impact. The site’s comprehensive habitat restoration program protects biodiversity and supports thriving native wildlife.

North Byron Parklands shows how large-scale cultural venues can be integrated with the natural environment, treading lightly while remaining vital economic drivers for local communities and creative industries.

“Cultural venues can tread lightly while being vital economic drivers, supporting local communities and creative industries.”
